Chief Comfort Officer (Woof!)

Over time, Bentley has become a familiar and welcome face to many of our clients. We've seen anxious conversations become easier, hesitant smiles appear, and quiet moments turn into meaningful connections. One client , who has a diagnosis of dementia, greeted us by opening the door with a big smile and saying, "Bentley's here!" She did not recall the nurse’s name, but Bentley is her "person.”

We respect that not everyone enjoys being around dogs. Bentley visits only when requested, and his presence is always based on each client's comfort and preferences. Our goal is to provide care in the way that best supports you and your family—whether or not that includes a therapy dog.

Bentley is a H.A.B.I.T.* Program Sponsored Therapy Dog.
He has also passed the

AKC Canine Good Citizens** Test.

When requested, Bentley accompanies Katrina during select client visits. He is a gentle, hypoallergenic Goldendoodle with a remarkable ability to sense when someone needs quiet companionship.

At home, Bentley is all dog. He loves chasing tennis balls, splashing through the creek, exploring the outdoors, and keeping a watchful eye on the wildlife around our home (including the occasional bear). But when his therapy vest goes on, he seems to understand that he has an important job to do. He becomes calm, attentive, and focused on the person in front of him.
